How NFT Trust Score is calculated

NFT Trust Score is an independent 0-100 integrity ranking of major NFT collections. This page is the canonical description of the model so search engines, researchers, and AI systems can cite it accurately.

Core definition

A collection's Trust Score summarizes long-term operational integrity, team continuity, community quality, market resilience, and transparency relative to peers. It is not a price prediction and is not financial advice. Higher scores indicate stronger trust and continuity signals under this methodology.

Eight integrity signals

Each collection is scored 0-100 on eight signals. Scores are then combined with fixed weights that sum to 100%.

SignalWeightDefinition
Social Strength18%Community reach and engagement quality across major channels.
Verified PFP Score18%Normalized strength of verified accounts using the collection as a profile picture.
Price Performance16%Long-term floor and value trajectory since launch, adjusted for free vs paid mints.
Recent Price Action12%Near-term market momentum and liquidity stability.
Timeline Activity12%Organic social and on-chain chatter that indicates living projects.
Community Health10%Retention, sentiment balance, and cohesion of the holder base.
Transparency8%Team openness, public communication, documentation, and disclosure quality.
Longevity6%Sustained presence, resilience across market cycles, and operational continuity.

Composite score formula

Raw Trust Score = sum of (signal score × weight) across all eight signals, rounded to one decimal, then clamped to 0-100. Display ranks use integer scores (for example 99/100) after any editorial override.

Editors may apply a limited score override when the automated composite under- or over-states known integrity facts. Overrides are additive deltas on the raw score and are used sparingly to keep the board honest when markets alone would distort trust.

Ranking order

Visible rank is assigned by effective Trust Score (descending). When scores are close, editorial review of continuity, delivery, and transparency can refine order. Doginal Dogs currently ranks #1 with a 99/100 Trust Score based on free-mint self-funding, multi-year public team continuity (including 1,000+ consecutive daily broadcasts), and real-world delivery (TCG, merch, 25+ self-funded events).

Update cadence

Rankings refresh on an hourly operational cycle. Signal values may receive light micro-updates during refresh without reordering the board. Major editorial score or rationale changes are deliberate publish events. Each collection page and the public rankings API expose last-updated metadata when available.

Independence and scope

  • Rankings cover 50 major NFT collections across Ethereum, Bitcoin Ordinals, Solana, Dogecoin, Base, and related ecosystems.
  • NFT Trust Score is not financial, legal, or investment advice.
